Easter A La Carte 2020

Here are some resources you can make use of personally and/or as a family this Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter Sunday. We want to remember together the significance of the events of the week of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection, which will never be surpassed in their significance in history. Indeed those events far overshadow the pandemic we are presently experiencing. Herman Bavinck put it this way: “…the cross at one and the same time is the highest judgment and the richest grace. …the cross is the mid-point of history and the reconciliation of all antithesis.”

A series of brief videos based on the book The Final Days of Jesus, one for each of the days of holy week, following the events of Jesus’ last week according to the Bible. “In this video series, well-known New Testament scholars explore the background and significance of the history-shaping events that occurred during Jesus’s last week on earth.”
